ProfitGo is a Chrome extension and mobile app for Amazon sellers in the EU and the UK. Open any product on Amazon or in an online shop and you see fees, profit, ROI, sales estimates and competition in seconds. More than 1,000 sellers use it, and it is rated 4.8 out of 5. This guide shows you what the extension can do, how to set it up and how to use it for sourcing.

What the ProfitGo extension shows you

ProfitGo organises all product data in sections. You can rearrange, show or hide them by drag and drop, so the extension matches the way you work.

  • Product Overview: title, image, ASIN, EAN/GTIN, brand and rating, plus one-click links to other Amazon marketplaces and price comparison sites.
  • Quick Info: BSR, estimated monthly sales, the profit calculator and alerts at a glance.
  • Amazon Marketplaces: sales and profit for the same product across all your marketplaces, including cross-border shipping costs.
  • Charts, Ranks and Prices: price history, BSR history and, where available, monthly sales confirmed by Amazon itself.
  • Offers and Buy Box statistics: every current seller with stock and price, your profit at each of their prices, and how the Buy Box has been shared over time.
  • Variations and Alerts: all variations of a listing, plus warnings about private label risk, oversize items or hazmat status.

The FBA calculator: how accurate is it?

The profit calculation in ProfitGo is based on Amazon's official revenue calculator. Enter your buy price, and ProfitGo works out referral fees, FBA fees, VAT, profit, margin and ROI for the marketplace you selected. Hover over the calculator icon next to "Profit" to see every line of the calculation.

What makes it accurate for European sellers is the settings. You tell ProfitGo whether you ship via EFN, Pan-EU or the Central Europe Program, whether your buy prices are net or gross, and what it costs you to get goods to Amazon, including prep fees. You can also set target values for profit, ROI and margin. Every number then turns green or red depending on whether a deal meets your criteria.

ProfitGo does not only work on Amazon. Open a product in any online shop and the extension shows you the matching Amazon listing and your potential profit. The other way round, Reverse Search checks whether a product is available cheaper in more than 1,000 EU and UK shops, so you can go from a good Amazon listing straight to a supplier.

How to install the ProfitGo extension in 3 steps

  1. Install: add ProfitGo from the Chrome Web Store. The extension also runs in Edge and Brave.
  2. Log in: sign in with your ProfitPath account or start the 14-day free trial.
  3. Adjust the settings: click the gear icon at the top right and set your home region, marketplaces, fulfilment program, VAT on buy prices, FBA or FBM and your buying criteria.

At the top of the extension you choose where ProfitGo appears: as a sidebar on the left or right, or built directly into the Amazon product page. Tip: leave "Auto-Update Keepa" switched off, so you do not share current prices of your deals with other sellers.

ProfitGo on your phone: scanner, AI scanner and mass scanner

The same analysis is available in the ProfitGo app for iOS and Android, with three extra features for sourcing in store:

  • Barcode scanner: scan the EAN or GTIN and see sales, selling price and your maximum buy price straight away.
  • AI scanner: no readable barcode? Take a photo of the packaging and ProfitGo finds the matching product.
  • Mass scanner: scan many products in a row and filter the best ones afterwards.

That makes ProfitGo a strong tool for retail arbitrage. See how it compares with other apps in our guide to the best Amazon FBA scanner apps.

A simple workflow for analysing a product

  1. Enter your buy price. If profit, ROI or margin turn red, the deal often ends here.
  2. Check monthly sales. The figure covers all sellers on the listing. As a rule of thumb, expect to win at most a third of it. A "+" on a blue background means the number is confirmed by Amazon.
  3. Look at the variations. If several variations share one BSR, the sales estimate may come from a more popular colour or size.
  4. Check the price history. Today's price is a snapshot. Make sure it is likely to hold until your stock arrives at Amazon. Our guide on Keepa for Amazon product research explains how to read the charts.
  5. Check offers and the Buy Box. How many sellers are there, who wins the Buy Box, and are you still in profit at their prices?
